The Society for Design and Process Science (SDPS) aims to bring together engineers, scientists, managers, decision makers and organizations to develop solutions for the increasingly complex problems that face civilization.

This workshop especially addresses doctoral students and next generation scientists, and encourages them to present their ideas and/or research results with transdisciplinary aspects to stimulate discussions as well as collaborations among colleagues.

Participants are provided a workshop to ‘call their own’ within the SDPS 2012, in which they can also present work-‐in-‐progress, as e.g. aspects of a not-‐yet finished doctoral thesis. The informal character of this workshop creates an atmosphere that allows to openly engage in discussion with peers to identify new possibilities, including drafting of new joint research projects and proposals, while an experienced SDPS researcher is mentoring the discussions.
