A number of developments in the technology of web services and personal video recording devices have fostered explosive growth in the production, online storage, and sharing of digital video resources. The accessibility of these resources has given instructors vast libraries from which to draw pedagogically relevant resources for integration into lessons, lectures and curricula. However, with the explosive growth of digital video resources comes a host of issues that impede the adoption of technologies needed for the use of digital video resources in the classroom environment.

The purpose of this workshop is to explore current trends in the production, online storage, and sharing of digital video resources, capabilities and limitations of present technology to exploit these resources, and to introduce a new system for collaborative sharing and filtering of digital video media for education.
